Ewingsdale, the gateway to Byron Bay, consists of residential area with over 250 dwellings and adjoining farmland. The lot sizes are about 1 acre average size with many larger properties. The residential area is well vegetated with many mature trees and bushes which are home to large numbers of birds and local mammals."

In 1984 Ewingsdale Protection Association was formed
18 March 1986 - first official meeting at Ewingsdale Hall. Name was changed to Ewingsdale Progress Association
28 July 1987 Ewingsdale Progress Association and Ewingsdale Hall Committee to form the Ewingsdale Progress and Public Hall Association Inc. - our official title
18 March 1986 26 residents attended the first official meeting at Ewingsdale Hall
29 August 1989 Grant of $5000 to be spent on kitchen and remodelling the roof
02 February 2009 Ewingsdale Progress Association to be known as Ewingsdale Community
Ewingsdale Hall is owned by Ewingsdale Community.
